UEFA: RB Leipzig

The most controversial club in German football, Leipzig aren't as polarising internationally as they are here in Germany. Their success story was built on circumventing the 50+1 rule, but the innovative ethos has made a lasting impact irrespective of how the club was founded.

I had the pleasure of covering their first-ever Champions League campaign in 2017/18 and have followed the story on the European circuit for UEFA ever since.
